One of a kind Ford Transit 4×4 conversion performed by Van Compass in 2019. This rig gets all the looks and is a blast to drive.

– 3.5L Eco boost gasoline motor
– Custom 38 Gal aluminum gas tank
– 4×4 swap completed at 32K miles
– 6 Speed Automatic transmission – rebuilt at 38K miles. Upgraded at Power By The Hour with upgraded friction clutches and steels, V8 internal piston, modified center support to produce more fluid flow. New Factory Ford torque converter installed.
– NP273 divorced transfer case, electric shift, rebuilt before installation with new chain, bearings, seals.
– 2004 Super Duty Front axle, 4.88 gears, eaton electric locker, manual locking hubs
– 2004 Super Duty Rear axle, 4.88 gears, rebuilt limited slip.
– Black Rhino Primm beadlocks x 5 with 37’ Milestar Patagonia X/T tires

Performance
* 5 star engine tuning tool with an Eco 87 octane tune, 87 towing tune and 91 towing tune
* Catalytic Converts removed at turbos in place of custom downpipes and crossover. Check Engine light shows from this mod and exhaust smells. Improved power and mileage.
* Factory muffler removed and straight piped.
* High flow catalytic converter installed (still smells like it is missing the catalytic converters)
* Scan Guage II for live temp monitoring

* Christmas light gauge cluster – ABS, traction control, Tire Pressure, Check Engine light show on dash. The rear tone rings need to be replaced. We have spares. This will fix the ABS and traction control light. They used to be turned off. I did not install the tire pressure sensors and the CEL is from the missing Catalytic converts.

Van Life Stuff
I’m by no means a professional interior builder. This was built to be spartan, durable and lightweight. The factory plastic panels have be removed for installation on all walls/ceiling, then re-used to save weight and
* Seating for 4-5
* Rear seats are tabbed and bolted to L-track studs. Easily removable. The 2 person bench can be removed and the single seat can be moved into its position.
* Front passenger swivel seat
* Insulated window covers
* 5K diesel heater (CHINA) under passenger seat
* VC overhead shelf above driver/passenger front seats
* Campovans hanging gear bag along the driver upper wall. Clips in place. Easy to remove and haul clothing into the house to pack/unpack.
* VC flip and load bed queen system. Up for kitchen galley use, hauling stuff etc. Down for sleeping. 8” thick memory mattress and Froli sleep system. The bed will fold up further if you go thinner BUT I like to sleep in comfort. You will too.
* VC 58” kitchen galley. Propane stove that runs off 1lb bottles. Cold water sink that drains to nature. TF130 fridge – All bolted to the floor and walls of the van. Not going anywhere.
* VC rear fender box. 20 Gal fender water tank. Hose bib at the back door of van for exterior camp lux hot shower or just a nice hose to spray things off.
* MaxxFan with remote
* VC storage trunk set up with (2) Renogy 100 amp Lithium batteries, Renogy 20 amp B to B charge controller (alternator charging), Midnite Solar “The Kid” solar charge controller, ARB Twin air compressor and hose.
