General Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled cabinetmaker to join our team at Limitless Van. As a Van Builder specializing in custom cabinetry, you will play a critical role in crafting high-quality cabinets for our off-grid adventure vans. Your expertise will be key in delivering exceptional craftsmanship, ensuring precision, and maintaining a commitment to quality throughout the build process.
The ideal candidate will be hardworking, reliable, and detail-oriented, with a passion for creating innovative and functional cabinetry. You must have professional cabinetry experience and be comfortable working with a variety of materials, including wood, laminates, and metals. As a crucial member of our finish team, you will also assist with other aspects of van building. A team mindset is essential.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Work with laminates, woods, and metals to create high-quality cabinets
- Laminate, assemble, & scribe cabinetry, ensuring precise dimensions
- Match materials and grains to ensure a cohesive and polished appearance
- Reinforce joints and attachments for durability without compromising aesthetics or functionality
- Install hardware such as hinges and handles
- Assist with cabinet loading/unloading and installation
- Utilize tools and machinery including handsaws, table saws, drills, sanders, and other woodworking equipment
- Measure and mark for areas to be cut
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including tool maintenance and proper disposal of old materials
- Read and interpret shop drawings to guide production
- Ensure quality standards are met on all parts/ pieces
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of two years professional cabinetry experience
- Expertise in laminating, edgebanding, routing, and grain matching
- Skilled in using woodworking machines such as saws, routers, shapers, and joiners
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting shop drawings and using a tape measure
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills
- Focus on efficiency in all work
- Team-oriented mindset
- Ability to lift heavy items in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally, stand, squat, and lay down to complete required tasks
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Expectations:
- Work Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm at our shop in North Bonneville, WA
- Willingness to work overtime when requested
- Warranty and re-work is minimized or eliminated as the work is done right the first time
- Projects are completed on time and at a very high quality standard
- Strong work ethic - must be punctual and self-motivated
- Have a fun, kind, and positive attitude
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay ranges between $24 - $30 an hour depending on experience
