Job Details

Seeking Van Builder/Technician with Mobile Power Systems installation experience. Automotive, Marine/Boat, or RV Electrical. We follow RVIA and ABYC standards for electrical systems installation. Must be familiar with, or willing to learn and follow these standards. We primarily work with Victron components, so familiarity with their products and programming a big plus. Must understand and know how to integrate multiple charging systems, including Solar, Shore Power (110V and 220V), DC (via the vehicle alternator), and know how to connect these through automatic transfer switches and Inverter/chargers. Must understand how to integrate and size both DC and AC systems based off the various charging systems and vehicle auxiliary batteries. We also install satellite internet and cell booster systems, so knowledge and troubleshooting of internet and bluetooth-based electronics and smart devices is a plus. Things we do: -Electrical Load Calculations -DC and AC power system design, integration, and installation. -12V, 24V, 48V DC systems -Fusing and cable sizing -Solar and solar control chargers (MPPT) -Batteries and BMS -Inverters, chargers, transfer switches -Solenoids and relays -Instrument panels, controllers, switches -Lighting -DC and AC appliances, propane appliances -Air conditioners and vent fans -EV knowledge a plus Position is part-time and Contract-based to start, with possibility for permanent hire if conditions allow. Full-time work available if skillset includes other trades. Feel free to reach out if you are interested in a general Van Builder/Technician position as well. Willing to train the right person. Shop Hours are officially Tues-Sat 10am-6pm, but hours are somewhat flexible and project-based.

We build custom van interiors in Sprinters, Transits, Promasters, Econolines, and many other types of vans. We are a small company with a small shop, so ability to work in tight spaces and be organized is a must. Candidates with multiple trade skills preferred, the more skills you have the more valuable you will be for our mission. Basic carpentry, metal fabrication, plumbing, and general construction knowledge a plus. We turn bare vans into cozy homes, so there is LOTS of other work!
